Contando Pollos — macOS Invoicing & Time Tracking

1. Introduction

Welcome to Contando Pollos. We believe that your privacy is a fundamental right, not an afterthought. This Privacy Policy explains our straightforward approach: Contando Pollos is a fully local macOS application that does not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your personal information. There are no accounts to create, no servers to connect to, and no data that ever leaves your device.

This policy applies to all users of the Contando Pollos macOS application.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Contando Pollos is designed with a privacy-first, offline-only architecture. We do not collect any of the following:

Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, mailing address)
Financial information (bank account details, credit card numbers, billing information)
Invoice data, client information, or billing records you create within the app
Time tracking entries, project names, or task descriptions
Device identifiers, IP addresses, or hardware information
Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
Location data of any kind
Cookies or similar tracking technologies

In short: everything you enter into Contando Pollos stays on your Mac — always.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All data created within Contando Pollos — including invoices, clients, projects, and time entries — is stored exclusively on your local device using standard macOS storage mechanisms (such as the application's sandboxed container or directories you designate). We have no access to this data, and it is never transmitted over the internet.

You are solely responsible for backing up your local application data. We recommend using Time Machine or another backup solution to protect your records.

4. Third-Party Services

Contando Pollos does not integrate with, rely on, or transmit data to any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, cloud storage services, or external APIs as part of its core functionality.

If future versions of the app offer optional integrations (such as cloud backup or payment processing), those features will be clearly disclosed, strictly opt-in, and covered by updated privacy documentation before release.

5. App Store & Distribution

Contando Pollos is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Apple may collect certain technical and transactional information related to your App Store purchase or download in accordance with Apple's own Privacy Policy. This information is collected by Apple, not by us, and we do not have access to it. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

6. Children's Privacy

Contando Pollos does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the application collects no data whatsoever, it poses no privacy risk to users of any age.

7. How Local-Only Storage Works

Contando Pollos stores all data — invoices, clients, products, time entries, templates, and settings — in a sandboxed container on your Mac managed by macOS. This data is accessible only to the application itself and cannot be read by other apps. No data is synced to iCloud, transmitted to remote servers, or shared with any third party.

Because the data lives entirely on your local disk, it is available offline at all times. You do not need an internet connection to create invoices, track time, or manage clients.

8. What Apple May Collect Through the App Store

Contando Pollos is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. When you download or purchase the app, Apple may collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policy, including:

App Store transaction data (purchase date, price, payment method)
Basic device information for download compatibility
Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (if you have opted in to Apple's analytics)

This information is collected and managed by Apple, not by us. We do not have access to your Apple ID, payment details, or any analytics Apple may collect. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for full details.

9. How Backups Work

Contando Pollos includes built-in backup functionality that saves copies of your data to a local directory on your Mac. Backups are stored at ~/Library/Application Support/ContandoPollos/Backups/ by default. You can:

Schedule automatic backups at an interval you choose
Create manual backups at any time with one click
Export your complete data set for offline storage or transfer
Restore from any backup with a single click

All backup files remain on your Mac. They are never uploaded to any cloud service or external server.

10. How to Delete All App Data

To completely remove all data created by Contando Pollos:

Delete the application from your Mac via the Launchpad or by dragging it to Trash
Remove the application data directory at ~/Library/Application Support/ContandoPollos/
Remove backup files if stored in a custom location

Once these files are deleted, all invoice data, client records, time entries, and settings are permanently removed. Because no data was ever transmitted to our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the application or applicable law. Any updates will be published within the app and/or on our official website. The "Effective Date" at the top of this document will be revised accordingly. Continued use of Contando Pollos after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
